User registry of Open Data

The purpose of handling the personal information

Access to Open Data of Tampere University of Applied Sciences is requested by filling out the electronic form. Access is granted by a personal API key. The information given in the form and the generated API key are stored in the user registry of the Open Data service for access management purposes.

Contents of register

The registry contains the following information about users:

- Full name
- Email address
- Purpose of use
- API key

Regular data sources

The information in the registry is submitted by the user when access to open data is requested. Exception to this is the API key, which is generated by Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The key does not contain any information about the user.

Regular destinations of disclosed data

The register holder will not release user information to outside parties.

Data transfer outside EU and ETA

The register holder will not release user information to outside EU and ETA countries.

Protection of the register

Personal user information is confidential. Tampere University of Applied Sciences web, systems and hardware (which hosts the environment) are protected by a firewall and by necessary technical solutions.

Right of access

User has a right to see what information is stored in the register. Send an email to the contact person of the register. The message should contain the API key associated with the user.

Other rights conserning the personal information handling

User information is stored as long as user asks them to be removed. Access to Open Data will be terminated at the same time.
